Ron Carland, CPA, holds a BA from Western Carolina University. He began his career at Horton & Carland in 1974. He served as a Special Agent with the FBI in the late 1970s. He returned to Hendersonville in 1980 and the firm became Carland & Carland. Ron earned his Certified Financial Planner designation in 1988. He and Terry Andersen formed Carland & Andersen in 2003. Ron enjoys working with clients on their finances and is active with Historic Flat Rock. He is married to Kathleen and cites his hobby as “indulging our three children”. Email Ron


Terry Andersen, CPA, holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with additional accounting coursework from University of North Carolina-Asheville. He has been with the firm since 1986 when he began as a staff accountant and worked his way up to partner. Terry is married to Jane, a retired teacher. They have a daughter, Stephanie, who lives in Atlanta, and a son, Geoff, who lives in Raleigh and is also an accountant. In his spare time, Terry enjoys watching sports… particularly Carolina basketball and Indy and Nascar racing. Email Terry


Carol DeWolf was born in Ontario, Canada and lived in Ft. Lauderdale for 44 years before settling in Hendersonville. She has been with Carland & Andersen since 2006, and does administrative work in both the Hendersonville and Brevard offices. She met her husband Steve while working at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel newspaper and has worked for marketing and public realtions firms there, as well. Email Carol


Denise Huggins has lived in Hendersonville since 1986. She graduated From Blue Ridge Community College in 1993 and has been with Carland & Andersen since 1994. Denise does payroll, bookkeeping, tax returns and audits. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, sewing, gardening and listening to music. Email Denise


Doreen Castellucci has an Associates of Science in Accounting. She has been with Carland & Andersen as a staff accountant since 1998. Outside the office she is a distance runner, and enjoys backpacking and cooking. Email Doreen


Hal Reid, CPA, has a BA from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS in Business Administration from Western Carolina University. He joined Carland &Andersen in early 2003. During audit season his focus is on audits of nonprofit agencies and governmental units, while during tax season it’s on preparation of corporate and individual income tax returns. Hal is married to Anita and has four grown children. He is an actual native of Hendersonville, but grew up in Charleston, SC. He enjoys yard work and listening to beach music. Email Hal


Kristy Henderson , from Brevard, earned her certificate in accounting from Blue Ridge Community College. She loves working at Carland & Andersen and has done “a little bit of everything” since she started in 1992. Kristy enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, traveling and has a young daughter who keeps her very busy. Email Kristy


Colby Creasman Buchanan , from Hendersonville, earned both her Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Masters in Accounting at Western Carolina University. She is a Hendersonville native and is active in the agriculture community. Colby has previously worked for a national CPA firm and also with the Henderson County Public Schools. She has several years of hands-on experience working with local business and individuals. She spends most of her time outside of the office working on her parent’s third generation apple farm. Colby is married to Kameron and they enjoy running, hiking, and traveling across the US.


Roger Warren was born and raised in Brevard, NC and still lives there with his wife and two children. Roger earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in public affairs from Western Carolina University. Before joining the firm, Roger worked for Buncombe County Schools in Asheville, NC for nearly 7 years. He began his career there in 2010 as an accountant and budget analyst then moved up to Assistant Finance Officer- a position he held from 2013 to 2016. Roger also served as the Interim Finance Officer for a period of 6 months in the latter part of 2013. He is currently pursuing becoming a CPA and enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching football, basketball and baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves.
